I wish I would have known this earlier. I was being questioned by police for something I had no part in. I told them I didn't want to talk to them without an attorney present but they kept trying to push me for more information. It seemed like they were trying to trap me as well by asking confusing, incriminating questions.

I actually didn't know that the police are supposed to refrain from asking further questions if you ask to speak with an attorney. I don't anticipate being in a situation where I'm being questioned by the police on criminal charges, but this should be good information to keep in mind anyway. You never really know when things like this could be useful in the future.
